Plastic Beach Trash Flamboyance of Flamingos Sculpture
Plastic Beach Trash Flamboyance of Flamingos Sculpture
Finley, Fallon, and Fred rise together in brilliant red and orange, a flamboyance of flamingos created entirely from plastic waste collected off Texas beaches. From forks and spoons to bottle caps and broken toys, every discarded piece has been transformed into layered feathers that shimmer with life and movement.
Flamingos gather in flamboyances, a reminder of the strength of community. This trio embodies that unity, showing how even trash that once harmed our oceans can be turned into something powerful and beautiful when brought together with purpose.
Their long legs stand firmly in shimmering blue waters, surrounded by green reeds and grasses. Each element was hand-sorted, cleaned, and secured with more than 8,000 screws into stainless steel mesh, ensuring the sculpture’s strength and durability.
Finley, Fallon, and Fred invite conversation about the 18 billion pounds of plastic entering our oceans every year and that’s only the tip of the iceberg
Let’s talk about your vision.
