Plastic Beach Trash Dolly the Bottlenose Dolphin Sculpture

Plastic Beach Trash Dolly the Bottlenose Dolphin Sculpture

Dolly the Bottlenose Dolphin is a full-sized sculpture made from thousands of pieces of plastic waste collected from Texas beaches. Her body is filled with toys, containers, and bottle caps that once polluted the shore but now tell a story about how our choices affect marine life. Children are drawn to her smile and spend time pointing out the familiar objects that make up her form. Adults stop to look closer too, realizing how everyday items can end up in the ocean. Dolly sparks those conversations and reminds us that 18 billion pounds of plastic enter the ocean each year, and that’s only the tip of the iceberg.
