Plastic Beach Trash Reggie the Redfish Sculpture
Plastic Beach Trash Reggie the Redfish Sculpture
Reggie the Redfish is built from thousands of pieces of plastic ocean trash collected from Boca Chica and South Padre Island beaches. His scales shimmer with red, oranges and whites once discarded as litter, now transformed into a striking symbol of life in the Guld Coast waters
The Redfish is one of Texas' most iconic species, valued by anglers and coastal communities alike. Reggie reminds us that while the fish remain strong in spirit, their survival depends on us taking action against the plastic pollution flooding our oceans.
Every piece of debris in Reggie's body was hand cleaned, color sorted and individually secured with thousands of screws. He is more than art he is a statement, a bold ambassador for the sea, inspiring awareness and sparking conversation wherever he is displayed.
