Plastic Beach Trash Sister Seahorses Sarah and Susan Sculpture
Meet Sarah and Susan, the sister seahorses of Washed Up Texas. Standing side by side, their bright colors and bold presence bring the ocean's beauty to life while telling a harder truth. Every ridge and every curve is built from plastic waste collected on the Texas beaches.
Susan, tall and golden, carries herself with strength. She represents resilience, the power to rise even when the tide brings in nothing but damage. Sarah, smaller yet no less striking shines with pink and orange hues. She reminds us of hope, of the next generation watching what we leave behind.
Together they tell a story that is larger than both of them. Each piece of plastic screwed into place once floated in the ocean, discarded and forgotten. Now it has been transformed into a warning and a promise.
Sarah and Susan are not only sculptures, they are voices. they ask us to look closer at what washes up and to understand that 18 billion pounds of plastic end up in the ocean each year, and that is just the tip of the iceberg.
When you stand before them, you don't just see art you see the future we're fighting for.
Let’s talk about your vision.
Every Washed Up Texas sculpture has its own story, and I’d love to hear yours.
If you’re thinking about leasing or buying one, let’s chat about what you’re doing, the space you have, and what you’d like to share with your visitors.
Together we can find the right fit and make something that truly makes an impact.
